From Koyasan, Japan

The bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka was an experience I will not soon forget. The most efficient train system that I have ever seen or taken a ride on. The train ride from Namda to Koyasan was a bit more bumpy and as I ascended the cable car to the top the mountain, I got the sense that I was in for something quite unexpected. Temple lodging was a surreal experience and my humble attempts at meditation practice and just overhearing the monks chanting in the early morning made me wonder about all the things that I just don't know about the world. It made me feel uneasy and I was not in my comfort zone and that is right where I needed to be to enjoy this experience. Spending time alone there just made me focus on clearing my mind and focusing without all the clutter of an overly complicated life.
